Water is designed to enter a hidden trough at the top of the seat back and overflow down the face of the benches back.  Gentle texturing on the steel grabs air bubbles with sheeting water adding greater visual appeal.
Water exits under the wooden seat of the bench falling into a concrete catch basin.  Falling water droplets add to the auditory experience.  As the concrete trough fills it overflows directing runoff to a nearby tree.
2D and 3D modeling in AutoCAD  was used to create this bench.
